A tale of toe. While I was training for the Nike Women's Marathon I was carefully working on keeping all my toenails. I did not realize what a great undertaking this toenail-keeping business would be. Up until a few days ago I was happily wearing my cotton socks (don't you judge me!) and running my longest toe into a painful and unsightly condition. However, this weekend I was lucky enough to be painting pottery with my little people at Paint Yourself Silly on Tanque Verde (bulls in a china shop, what?) when I realized I was near Fleet Feet. Upon completion of our masterpieces, Kyle and our brood headed over to Fleet Feet in the search of socks that might save me from really ugly feet (side note: "Really Ugly Feet" might be an alternative name for a cotton sock store). All of this to recommend socks, you ask? Well, yes! Because these socks are amazing. Simply ouchless. Wonderful, second-skin-on-your-feet-not-going-to-lose-a-toenail-if-I-can-help-it, comfy, comfy socks. My toes are happy and I think I might just get by with wearing flip flops another winter. Whew.
