I was nervously awaiting my training plan for the coming weeks, checking my email like a crazy person. I like the neatness of a plan - I even like the word: plan. People who would normally worry about you and think you might be insane, upon hearing that you have a plan suddenly believe you are a person with direction and, well, plans. So, the plan arrived (not without a lecture regarding marathons and recovery and StopRunningHollyYouAreNotGoingToForgetHow), and I am ready to make the next two weeks productive. I am running a marathon for fun in a couple weeks, but I don't anticipate any problems arising from that little bit o' fun. They're aliens, people, how hard could it be to run near them? Seriously, though, I trust my coach and have agreed to stick just to the plan from the marathon to Ironman. That's the focus, afterall, right? Ironman! And so the second month of training begins.
