Week Three is complete! Today is my first official day OFF and I’m a bit at loose ends for something to do. Luckily, the kids have the day off school today so I am occupied and enjoying not having to schedule anything today. This week was a testament to how much I allow training to dictate my mood. I had some logistics problems with a business trip my husband was taking and had to shuffle some workouts around, causing some workout anxiety. In the end, I was able to get everything in and I got my 20-miler out of the way for the marathon. Getting all the workouts in required some interesting scheduling though, and I allowed myself to get pretty cranky when I thought I might miss a workout. My husband kindly reminded me to remove my head from my ass and I was able to get everything done.
Weekly totals for this week: Swim: 2700 yards Bike: 120 Miles (Including a rather hilly-for-me 50-Miler) Run: 40 Miles I had a good (for me) swim time in the aquathlon, and hope to do better on Wednesday (Championship!). This week brings 5K, 1000 yard, and Cycling Time Trials, which I am only a tad nervous about. But this is just the first series of those, so I am happy to see where I’m at.
Those three weeks went by very quickly, I’m curious to see what the next month brings!
